Rodney Matthews is the British fantasy artist whose airbrushed dreamscapes defined the look of rock and metal for generations. His work fronted albums by Magnum, Nazareth, Asia and Praying Mantis, turning gatefold sleeves into worlds you wanted to fall into. When you picture the golden age of imaginative British album art, you're picturing Rodney Matthews.

This 500-piece puzzle takes 'Aqua', one of Matthews' watery, otherworldly compositions, and lets you piece it together tile by tile. It's the kind of image that rewards close attention — every fish, ripple and shard of light designed with the same care he brought to his classic sleeve work. A proper bit of kit for anyone who spent hours staring at his artwork on the back of a record. Matthews’ first commission for the British prog rock supergroup Asia. Their manager approached him requesting artwork suggestions for their fourth studio album, which had no title at the time. Following Asia tradition, it would have to be a single word, beginning and ending with the letter ‘a’. Matthews rummaged through his dictionary and came up with ‘Aqua’.
