Rodney Matthews is the British fantasy artist whose paintings defined the look of prog and metal album covers from the 1970s onward. If you've owned records by Magnum, Asia, Nazareth, or Thin Lizzy, you've stared into one of his worlds — dragons, twisted spires, and creatures pulled straight out of a fever dream. His work is as much a part of rock history as the music it wrapped around.
