About the Artist

Symphony X are an American progressive metal band formed in New Jersey in 1994, known for their virtuosic musicianship and the powerful vocals of frontman Russell Allen. Their sound blends progressive and power metal with neoclassical influences and dense, symphonic arrangements.

Press

Released in 2011 through Nuclear Blast, Iconoclast finds Symphony X pursuing a heavier, more aggressive direction built around its dystopian man-versus-machine concept. The album was widely praised for its technical precision and crushing riffs, and is often regarded as one of the band's most uncompromising and forceful statements.
