Loverboy are a Canadian rock band who emerged from Calgary at the tail end of the 1970s, quickly becoming one of the most successful acts of the early '80s with their fusion of hard rock hooks and radio-friendly polish. Fronted by the distinctive vocals of Mike Reno and driven by Paul Dean's guitar work, they became instantly recognisable through their red leather trousers and headband-clad image.
