Blackfoot are an American hard rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, led by the late guitarist and vocalist Rickey Medlocke, whose Native American heritage helped shape the group's identity. Emerging in the 1970s, they built a reputation for a gritty, Southern-tinged brand of hard rock that set them apart from their contemporaries.
