Sweet Savage are a Northern Irish hard rock and heavy metal band formed in Belfast in the late 1970s, often cited as an important part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal era. They are perhaps best known for their song 'Killing Time,' later covered by Metallica, and for launching the career of guitarist Vivian Campbell, who went on to play with Dio and Def Leppard.
