Gamma was an American melodic hard rock band formed in 1979 by guitarist Ronnie Montrose, following the dissolution of his earlier band Montrose. Blending hard rock guitar work with polished, keyboard-driven arrangements, the group carved out a sound rooted firmly in late-'70s and early-'80s AOR and melodic rock.
