Ratt were one of the defining bands of the 1980s Los Angeles hard rock scene, storming out of the Sunset Strip with a swaggering, hook-laden sound built around Warren DeMartini and Robbin Crosby's twin-guitar attack and Stephen Pearcy's sneering vocals. Following the multi-platinum success of their debut 'Out of the Cellar' and its follow-up 'Invasion of Your Privacy', they became one of the era's biggest names in glam-tinged hard rock.
Press
'Dancing Undercover' finds Ratt sticking closely to the proven formula that made them stars, delivering a set of gritty, riff-driven hard rock highlighted by the single 'Dance'. While some felt it trod familiar ground, the album stands as a solid slab of mid-'80s melodic hard rock that fans of the band's earlier work will find plenty to enjoy in.
