About the Artist

Britny Fox emerged from the fertile Philadelphia hard rock scene in the mid-1980s, quickly making a name for themselves with their swaggering, glam-tinged approach and big vocal hooks. Featuring former Cinderella drummer Tony Destra in their early lineup and led by the distinctive voice of 'Dizzy' Dean Davidson, they became one of the era's notable second-wave hard rock acts before Davidson departed to form Blackeyed Susan.

This Rock Candy reissue of 'Boys In Heat' captures Britny Fox in transition, with Tommy Paris stepping in on vocals for a record that leans into a slightly grittier, more mature hard rock sound than their debut. While it arrived as the glam scene was beginning to shift, tracks like the driving opener and their take on 'Hair Of The Dog' show a band still packing plenty of energy, and the remastered treatment gives these songs a welcome fresh coat of polish.
