About Don Felder

Don Felder is an American hard rock musician best known for his work as a guitarist and founding member of the Eagles, one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1970s. Born in Topeka, Kansas, Felder developed his musical skills early and became a session musician before joining the Eagles in 1974, contributing to several of their most acclaimed albums including Hotel California (1976). His distinctive guitar work, particularly his dual lead guitar approach with Bernie Leadon and later Joe Walsh, helped define the band's signature sound during their peak years.

Felder's career with the Eagles spanned from the mid-1970s through the 1980s, during which time he contributed to multiple platinum-selling albums and participated in the band's legendary performances. His songwriting credits include contributions to some of the Eagles' most recognizable tracks. Following the Eagles' initial breakup, Felder pursued a solo career and remained active in the music industry, performing and recording across several decades.

In 2025, Felder released The Vault (Fifty Years Of Music) through Frontiers Music S.r.l., a comprehensive retrospective project marking his extensive career spanning multiple genres and collaborations. The release underscores his enduring presence in rock music and his continued creative output well into the 21st century. Felder's legacy remains significant in hard rock and classic rock circles, with his influence recognized among generations of guitarists and rock musicians.
